DANGER
AT THE DOOR

A very hungry woodpecker
Was knocking on a door.
'Tap tap,' he went. 'Tap-tap, tap-tap!'
And he thought he heard a snore.
'Tap-tap,' he went. 'Open your door!'
Was that a little squeal?
An insect's voice cried with alarm:
'Someone wants a meal!'
Another insect's voice then said:
'Let’s get away from here.
The knocking on our little door
Means danger, it’s quite clear.'
Two frightened bugs forgot their beds
And scurried off in fright.
Woodpecker looked round their home
But no-one was in sight.
