A HOUSE IS WHERE I'LL BE

By Josie Whitehead

House is Where I'll Be (A)

A tiny bee lives in a hive

     And birds nest in a tree.

A horse enjoys his stable home,

     But their homes are not for me.

A cow loves being in a field;

     A fish swims in the sea.

A mouse likes hiding in its hole,

     But their homes are not for me.

A worm lives deep down in the ground,

      But not a bumble bee.

The Arctic's where the penguins live.

     But . . . . a house is where I’ll be.

Follow Up:  Write down a list of names of creatures who share our world with us, and by the side, write down the names for their homes.  In a group, share your list with the others and add to it any others which perhaps you didn't know.  Josie
