Little Susie Spider
Little Susie Spider,
Hanging from her thread:
'Come and see what I’ve made,'
Susie proudly said.
'Please admire my silken web,
So beautiful and strong.
I’m hoping that a tasty fly
Soon will come along.
'The fabric of my little web,
Is just as strong as steel.
It’s certainly the perfect thing
To catch a tasty meal.
'I’m not unlike you humans
When you net a tasty fish,
But I much prefer small insects
To be upon my dish.'
