MR BORING

I knew a man called 'Boring'
And he really was a bore!
When he wasn't talking dreary talk
He'd go to bed and snore.
He wore lacklustre trousers
And a hat quite dull and drab.
But the strangest thing about him
Was he thought that he was fab.
He had no friends - of course not –
For he was a stuffy bloke,
And when he came upon the scene
Folk disappeared like smoke.
ARE YOU READY FOR A SHOCK NOW?
Well, I remember Mr Boring,
Oh but that was years ago,
And then he started writing poetry
And . . . . guess what . . . . !!!
He's a LAUREATE now you know!!

Notes: Lacklustre: - - Dull and unfashionable (with regard to clothes).
Lacklustre is an adjective, describing the noun 'trousers'. I have used so many adjectives in my poems. Write down as many other adjectives and their meanings that you can find. When describing someone, you need lots of adjectives - but hopefully, your person, will be a much nicer person than Mr Boring.
